"Figaro! Figaro!" - Jihoon Yoon Opera Sings His Way to Mr. Grandview Title

Senior Jihoon Yoon was crowned Mr. Grandview during Dream Week after stealing the crowd from the moment he walked on stage and delivered an impressive opera performance of the famous “Figaro” aria. The annual event featured senior boys competing in a catwalk, pre-recorded videos, and talent performances before the field was narrowed to the top six. Those finalists then completed prom-style asks before the competition was reduced to the final three: Kabir Srivastava, Jamison Ying, and Jihoon Yoon. Ying performed a stand-up comedy routine that referenced his father, Grandview’s well-known AP Chemistry teacher, while Srivastava energized the crowd with a Bruno Mars performance. Other acts included a mock dating show, magic tricks, and movie reenactments. After the final round of audience voting, Yoon secured the title of Mr. Grandview.
