The Grandview Chronicle offers its condolences to the friends, family, and fellow students of Head Varsity Assistant Coach Alex Schnaidt.

It’s hard to imagine the many emotions that the Grandview community is dealing with at the moment. The Chronicle shows its deepest regard towards those affected by the passing of Coach Schnaidt.

“We lost a great friend, but the heavens received a beautiful star,” said The Grandview Boys Basketball team.

Coach Schnaidt had an enormous impact on Grandview starting from his own time as a Grandview Wolf back in 2003 to his impact on the Varsity Basketball team in the last three years.

Schnaidt’s legacy will rain on in the history books of Grandview High School, and shall never be forgotten of his commitment towards his students and the Grandview community.

We offer our support and sympathy to those affected by the passing of Coach Schnaidt and hope for healing in the near future.

Coach Schnaidt’s family and friends have organized a Go Fund Me for Funerals & Memorials. It would be greatly appreciated by the family if you could pitch in.

Me and many other freshman girls (us old ladies now:) ) always looked for Alex within the halls of GHS. He was a part of our “soccer boys”. This breaks my heart knowing that a warm soul and compass for so many young basketball lovers is gone. RIP my birthday buddy.
