At Handel’s Homemade Ice Cream, there’s no walking inside – you just head straight to the window, where the smell of fresh waffle cones hits before you even see the menu. People are chatting, debating flavors, and pointing at the giant list of options.

“They have so many flavors,” sophomore Danya Chybli said. “It’s actually overwhelming.”

Handel’s hits no matter the season – and summer will only make it better. Whether you want a scoop, a cone, a sundae, or a thick milkshake, they can turn any flavor into anything. Seasonal ones are especially popular – like their Pumpkin Pie Cheesecake milkshakes, which taste as good as they sound.

You’ll stare at the menu for a bit, and watching them build your order is the best part. Huge scoops, real mix-ins, and portions big enough you start questioning the size you ordered.

When your treat’s finally ready, it’s classic Handel’s: rich, loaded, and definitely bigger than you expected.

“I love Midnight Madness,” Chybli said. “It’s so good.”

You walk away already planning what flavor you’ll try next – because one trip is never enough.
