How long have you been playing soccer? Why or how did you start?
I started as soon as I could. So I believe [I started] at 3 years old for my club. I started playing because my older brother did and I would always run into the field and try to play with him so my parents signed me up as soon as I was old enough.
Do you plan on playing soccer in college? If so, where?
Yes I am playing in college! I will be attending Central Washington University. I am looking forward to improving my level of play and working hard for two of the best coaches I have ever met.
Do you have any superstitions or rituals before a game?
I always put on my socks, cleats, then finish with shin guards. I will do my hair before I get to the field but never put pre wrap in until I’m in the locker room or on the bench. I have one song I have to listen to before every single game.
What is something that you love about playing soccer?
I love that it is a sisterhood and family environment. We are all achieving one goal- to win and so to have everyone there by your side is amazing!
What is the most stereotypical ‘soccer girl’ thing you do?
Probably tell people all of the time I can’t hang out because I have practice or having pre wrap literally everywhere- in my car, my soccer bag, my school bag, my room.
If you could describe yourself using a color, what would it be and why?
I would say I’m a light blue because I’m a bubbly person and happy a lot of the time!
What is your least favorite food and why?
I don’t like fish and I don’t know why. I just physically can’t eat it. I also can’t eat seaweed.
If you could change your name, would you and what would you change it to?
I would change my name to Elsa (Lamphere) so that I could be as funny as her!
What is your favorite TV commercial and why?
Super Bowl’s Baby Clydesdale, because it makes me smile every time I see it.
If you could create a holiday, what would it be for and when would it be?
I would make a pet day. Yes there are little ones now, but it would be bigger. We have mother’s day, father’s day, and grandparents day, but pet day isn’t a big deal and they are family too.
