Memorial Fund Created in Honor of English Teacher Ann Richards
English teacher Ann Richards passed away on January 17th, 2023. During her career, she passionately provided leadership as Grandview’s first English Department Coordinator, a teacher of Advanced Placement English Language and Literature classes, and professional development within the school and the district.
Ms. Richards persevered through sickness, even grading and teaching from a hospital bed, to serve her students to the best of her ability.
In honor of her dedication to teaching, her friends and colleagues created the Ann Richards Advanced Placement Memorial Fund. The fund will provide students with monetary support for Advanced Placement exams and related resources.
Ms. Richards was loved for her generosity, kindness, and wisdom during her 38 years of teaching. The fund is a fitting memorial for her exemplary character to live on.
