What do you enjoy most about playing soccer?
I enjoy the freedom and thrill of being able to step out on the field and be competitive and show how hard I have worked to get here.
How do you stay motivated during tough games or practices?
Something that helps me stay motivated is knowing that I can do better and knowing that I can push myself further. That I have to put in the work in order to get to the next step or level.
What do you think is the most important quality for a varsity player to have?
I think the most important quality to have as a varsity player is work ethic and good sportsmanship because with both of those, it makes you become a better player.
How has being on the team helped you grow as a person?
Being on the team has helped me as a person by making me never stop working hard and always pushing myself to be the very best I can at all times.
How do you feel about the team’s chemistry?
I think the team’s chemistry is great. We all are treating each other like sisters and really show how much we care for each other.
What advice would you give to someone wanting to play varsity soccer in the future?
My advice to a future varsity player is to never doubt yourself and always stay positive no matter what because you can do anything you put your mind to. Push through no matter what.
How does being on varsity feel different than being on a normal team?
It’s different because for varsity, it’s a fun environment to be around and you get to meet a lot of new people throughout the Cherry Creek program. For club, it’s more about how to get to the next step and how to get to the next level for college.
What’s your favorite position to play and why?
I like playing the striker or the 9 because I get to score a lot of goals and really show my competitiveness and speed, my skill level, and many of my different moves that I can do.
What’s your most memorable moment in soccer so far?
My most memorable moment is me being able to start in my first game and being able to play with everyone.
How do you balance academics and being a student athlete?
A way that I balance academics and sports is making sure to put in the time for both academics and athletics.
Who is your biggest inspiration in soccer?
My biggest inspiration is Trinity Rodman. She’s an NWSL player and on the women’s national team. She is a very competitive and strong woman.
What do you think the best part of being a part of the varsity team is like?
I think the best part of being on varsity is being able to meet a lot of new people and being able to hang out with a lot of new people and getting to see new players play against our team.
